Meet our team!

I’m a graduate of North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine, class of 2000. I’m Dr. Dianne’s little brother. I guess you might say that we have a true family practice. I have a keen interest in equine sports medicine with a focus on lameness along with all things related to the study of the eye: ophthalmology. When not treating my patients, I spend most of my free time working with my sister on our family’s farm. I also serve as a board member for our local Farm Bureau and the Haywood County Department of Health and Human Services.

I am a Graduate of North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine, class of 1987. In addition to seeing to the needs of our patients and clients at Country Lane, we (me, David, and our Mother) maintain our family farm just outside of Waynesville. We run a small flock of crossbred sheep. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, gardening, crochet, and walking.

My name is Tara, and I have been at Country Lane since 2003. I began working as a veterinary assistant and helping with the weekend kennel. I then transitioned into inventory management and have been the Office Manager since 2012; you can still find me fulfilling different positions throughout the hospital, and I am always available to help you in any way I can. In my free time, I enjoy my time spent with my sweet, precious baby boy, my Husband Kyle, our three dogs, family, and friends.

Hi, my name is Jasmine Gunter. I am a Veterinary Assistant here at Country Lane Animal Hospital. I love animals and enjoy meeting all of them that come into the office. In my free time, I enjoy going to the lake and Dollywood with my family.

Hi there! I’m Jadyn, a Registered Veterinary Technician at Country Lane, holding an associate degree from AB Tech. The best part of my profession is the incredible variety in my workdays. As a vet technician, I assist with a wide array of tasks. My primary focus is supporting soft tissue, orthopedic, and oral surgeries.

My deep love for animals extends to my personal life, where my husband Jacob and I care for horses, goats, cats, dogs, and more. This hands-on experience strengthens my commitment to providing compassionate care.

Hi, I’m Brooke, and I’m a Veterinary Assistant at Country Lane. I have always wanted to become a veterinarian and make a difference for animals. I’m currently applying to several veterinary colleges in the fall where I can pursue my interests in performance horse medicine. I have a deep affection for horses and want to ensure these athletes are safe and well cared for in their respective sports. I share my home with three rambunctious Siberian huskies, my loyal companions. They are so soft and cute, and they always brighten my day. I also have a small poodle mix that rules the roost. His name is TUCK. He challenges me and adds more excitement to my life. I’m very devoted to animals and thankful to be part of this team with the same vision.
